Getting here

Bira sits at the bottom of South Sulawesi. There is no airport or train here, so everyone arrives the same way: through Makassar, then by road.

  1. 1

    Fly into Makassar

Most travellers fly into Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (UPG) in Makassar, with connections through Jakarta and Bali.

  2. 2

    Drive to Bara Beach

Allow about 5 to 6 hours by car. Public buses and minivans also run from Makassar and take longer. Tell us your flight and we can help arrange a car: message us on WhatsApp.

  3. 3

    Ask for Bara Beach

Seascapes is on Bara Beach, not the main Bira beach. In a map app, search for Seascapes Bira, Bara Beach.
